SITIS 2019 – The 15th International Conference on Signal Image Technology & Internet based Systems

SITIS - International Conference on Signal Image Technology & Internet Based Systems

UBIO 2019

International Workshop on Ubiquitous implicit BIOmetrics and health signals monitoring for person-centric applications

Collocated with:
26-29 November 2019 - Sorrento, Italy

Scope of the Workshop
The second edition of this workshop aims at bringing together both theoretical and application research related to the emerging topics of context and condition awareness provided by wearable sensors. In particular, the wide availability of several such sensors on mobile devices spurs a continuous evolution of related applications. Moreover, nowadays less invasive and more acceptable devices allow capturing even body signals like EEG and ECG. In the future, the fusion of IoT, biometrics and wearable signal processing technologies is expected to open new and unexpected scenarios.

for the workshop include, but are not limited to:

• Target technologies and methods:
- ubiquitous sensing and processing of biometrics;
- continuous biometrics profiling;
- dynamic updating of biometric template;
- health-signals based inference models;
- biometrics-based activity recognition;
- mobile privacy;

• Target applicative scenarios:
- human-centric applications in Smart Cities;
- personal health and wellness;
- elders care and assistance;
- activity monitoring;
- focus/stress estimation;
- psychophysical assessment;
- on-the-field soldiers monitoring
