Scope of the Workshop
The third of International Workshop on the Artificial Intelligent Approaches for Image Processing (IWAIIP) has been held for the first time since 2016. The goal of workshop is to bring together all researchers who have expertise in area of artificial intelligence in image processing approaches from diverse working groups on real world systems for commercial, industrial and military applications. This workshop aims to provide a collection of high quality research articles that address broad challenges on both theoretical and application aspects of artificial intelligence in image processing. Colleagues from diverse academic faculties, schools and industrial sectors are very welcome to join and contribute the research that stimulates the ongoing steps to reach the higher quest on the application of artificial intelligent approaches in image processing challenges.
The topics of International Workshop on the Artificial Intelligent Approaches for Image Processing explicitly include (but are not limited to) the following aspects:

• Evolutionary and fuzzy computation in image processing
• Machine learning in image processing
• Expert systems in image processing
• Knowledge engineering in image processing
• Intelligent agents and multi-agent systems in image processing
• Reasoning and inference in image processing

• Image Processing for surveillance and Security Applications
• Image processing for military applications
• Image processing for industrial automation
• Industrial applications of image processing
• Applications of artificial intelligence in image processing
Submission deadline: September 22, 2018
Acceptance/Reject notification: October 21, 2018
Camera-ready: October 28, 2018
Author Registration: October 31, 2018
Each submission should be at most 8 pages in total including bibliography and well-marked appendices and must follow the IEEE double columns publication format.

Only pdf files will be accepted. Submissions not meeting these guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits.
All submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of expression by at least two reviewers. The organizers will examine the reviews and make final paper selections.
All the papers accepted for the workshop will be included in the SITIS conference proceedings, published by IEEE Computer Society. Content will be submitted to the indexing companies (Scopus, DBLP, etc.) as in previous conference editions. The conference proceedings will be available at the conference.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop. Workshop registration fee is determined by SITIS. A single registration for the workshop or the conference allows attending both events.
